Rules: Gold Rush Cup Indoor Tournament Rules
If the child is not listed on the roster, they will not be able to participate. GSIFP will accept U.S. club, AYSO, CalNorth and any USSF sanction league passes. This tournament will be a Round Robin Tournament. 2026/2027 Age Matrix
**If a player is late to any game and misses check-in, the player is not eligible to play in that game after the game starts**
A. Game structure
Two 10 min halves for 6U
Two 12 min halves for 8U
Two 15 min halves for 10U & up
Teams have 5 min to start game or it will be counted as a forfeit (Note: time will be deducted from game time)
3 min half time break
B. Point System
3 points for a win
1 points for a tie
0 points for a loss
Tie breaker:
Head to head competition
Goals in favor (goals scored minus goals allowed)
Goals received
Coin toss
C. General and Pre-Game Information
Matches will be played according to standard indoor rules
Each team will check in 15 min prior to their game
Team listed first on the schedule is the home team
Team uniforms must match (if more than one player has the same number, tape must be used to change the jersey number.)
If two teams in any given match have identical or very similar uniform colors, it is the responsibility of the home team to change color or use pinnies.
Casts, splints, or body braces made of any hard substances are not allowed, even if wrapped with soft materials. Leg braces must not have any exposed hard surfaces and must be approved by the game referee
Medical alert bracelets and medical alert necklaces must be taped to the body with the medical alert message visible. Taping over of any other jewelry is unacceptable
The referee always has the final word on any safety issues
Good sportsmanship is one of the basic principles of GSIFP and is expected from all players, coaches, parents. Please make sure you share this information with your respective teams.
Zero tolerance for any individual, team , coach, that doesn’t follow rules.
No yelling at the referee
Remember we are here for the KIDS, winning at all cost shouldn’t be your main focus. Let the KIDS have fun and enjoy the beautiful game of soccer.
D. Standard Indoor Rules
Only one hand on the wall at a time
Two hands on the wall will result as a foul
No offsides
Unlimited substitutions while ball is in play
8-goal differential - If a team scores 8 goals ahead of the opposing team, the team with the lead must remove one player from the field until the game becomes a 7 goal differential, then the player may return to play on the field.
Free kick awarded:
Team can not advance the ball in the air across the halfway line without touching a person, the wall first. ( Free kick for the opposing team on their defensive line.)
Any ball that hits the ceiling or net around field
Any ball considered out of bounds is re-started within 3ft of the wall must be played within 5 seconds. All others must wait for the whistle, at which time the 5 second rule applies. Including re-start after a goal is scored. Failure to do so will result in loss of possession.
6. No goal kicks. Goalkeepers will restart the ball (punt or throw) within 5 seconds
7. Goalkeepers may pick up a pass back ONLY if the ball is played from outside the goal box and the ball bounces off the wall or by header and/or chest.
The goalkeeper may NOT bring the ball into the goal box and pick it up. Doing so will result in a shoot out for the opposing team
NO Sliding or slide tackles except for goalkeeper in the box ONLY
E. Fouls and Misconduct
Player will be sent to the bench (2minutes) upon accumulation of 3 personal fouls (blue card). If the opposing team scores during the 2 minutes, the player is allowed to re-enter the playing field.
5 team fouls will result in (2 minutes) on the bench for the player committing the 5th foul. If the opposing team scores during the 2 minutes, the player is allowed to re-enter the playing field.
Every foul from the 11th on will result in a penalty kick from the top of the arc.
If the 5th team foul results in a direct red card, that player AND one other player must serve time (2minutes) on the bench
Teams will be charged with “ Delay of Game” resulting in a foul which will be used toward the 5 team fouls for having unauthorized persons on the bench. Only players and Coach/Asst. Coach allowed in the player’s bench area. ALL coaches must be on the roster.
Delay of game for not allowing mandatory 3 yard clearance IMMEDIATELY for ALL RE-STARTS will result in Yellow card
Boarding is illegal and can result either on a direct free kick or ejection (blue/red card)
Boarding is defined as “putting an opponent into glass and/or boards”
X. Automatic Ejection (Team or Individual)
Fighting / Spitting
Consisting abusive language toward the REFEREES and/or opponents and even your own team
Player ejected from game after 3rd card given
GSIFP wants all teams to have the best experience possible in a fun, safe, family environment. We ask that all teams, parents and individuals help accomplish this goal. GSIFP has the doors open for any ideas that can help make your experience a success please feel free to share them with us at any time.
Note: Fields and Time played may change slightly depending on home teams availability. Please make sure all coaches are familiar with Game Rules
The TEAM with the most points after all 3 games have been played will be awarded Champion!!

Media Release & Consent: By participating in any Golden State Indoor /Futsal Premier (GSIFP) league, tournament, or event, all players, parents, and legal guardians acknowledge and agree that GSIFP may capture, use, and publish photos, videos, and other media featuring participants for promotional, educational, and operational purposes.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Website content
Social media posts
Marketing materials
Livestreams and highlight videos
Tournament recaps and award features
No Compensation & No Restrictions: Participants understand that all media captured becomes the property of Golden State Indoor Premier and may be used without limitation, without compensation, and without further approval.
Waiver of Liability: By participating, parents/guardians waive any claims against Golden State Indoor Premier related to the use, publication, distribution, or display of media in which their child or themselves may appear.
GSIFP Tournament Refund Policy Disclaimer
No Refunds Policy: Golden State Indoor/Futsal Premier (GSIFP) does not offer refunds for tournament registrations under any circumstances. All tournament fees are final and non‑refundable, including but not limited to withdrawals, scheduling conflicts, team availability issues, player injuries, or dissatisfaction with bracket placement or game results.
Event Commitment: By registering for any GSIFP tournament, teams, coaches, parents, and participants acknowledge and agree that tournament operations require advance scheduling, staffing, facility preparation, and resource allocation. Because these costs are incurred prior to the event, GSIFP cannot issue refunds once registration is submitted.
Weather, Facility, or Operational Adjustments: In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as facility interruptions, or operational changes, GSIFP will make reasonable efforts to reschedule games or adjust the event format. These adjustments do not qualify for refunds.
Credit Policy (If Applicable): GSIFP may, at its sole discretion, offer event credit for future tournaments if an event is fully canceled by GSIFP. Credits are not guaranteed and are issued only when GSIFP determines they are appropriate.
Agreement to Terms: By completing registration, all participants and team representatives agree to this No Refunds Policy and waive any claims for reimbursement, chargebacks, or financial disputes related to tournament participation.

Parent Instructions
Click the link below to fill out, print and turn in the Big League Dreams waiver to your coach to deliver to us on tournament day (every parent must have a waiver filled out and turned in)
